House of Prayer Static Overview Header 960

My House shall be called a House of Prayer for all people.
– Mark 11:17

Located on over 15 acres of land on the shores of Old Tampa Bay, Our Lady of Divine Providence House of Prayer and Cenacle School of Spiritual Direction and Retreat Ministry are nestled in a quiet park-like setting. In the shade of old live oak trees draped with Spanish moss, the grounds surrounding this ministry are known for their serenity and beauty. The grounds include the House of Prayer Chapel, retreat houses, the Cenacle School of Spiritual Direction, a rose garden, a pond and paths with quiet areas for meditation and reflection, and the Stations of the Cross.

For those of you who have never visited our grounds, we invite you to come and see what we are doing to further the work of God’s Kingdom. Our over-arching goal is simply to help those seeking healing of body and mind, and to bring Catholic Christians to a deeper understanding of their vocation, mission in Christ in the Church, and in the world.

Since our beginning in 1980, multitudes have streamed through the doors of the House of Prayer. Many long for healing and wholeness for body, mind, and spirit so that they might be strengthened through God’s grace. They seek the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to meet the challenges of life

The House of Prayer is open to the public each weekday.  Prayer ministry is available throughout the week from staff members on an appointment basis.

The House of Prayer hosts a healing Mass every Tuesday at 1:00 PM where we focus our attention on the healing power of Jesus, truly present at every celebration of the Eucharist.  Prayer teams are available after mass to pray with you individually for your personal needs.  Our prayer teams are trained and dedicated members of the Marian Servant Community. We welcome all who are burdened to come to Christ for healing and mercy.
